VOIGTS FARMING
Operated as a family run business, the extensive agricultural operations are all overseen and managed by Ralph Voigts, eldest son of Ivan Voigts.
The Voigts Farming operational office will be found on Mt Verde Estate, Hilton, KZN. In 2007, a proportion of this family owned estate, was subdivided into 30 ha smallholdings. The remaining land on the Estate continues to be worked as a profitable Sugar and Timber working farm.
Facing industry challenges, Voigts Farming, has been innovative and overcame the challenges faced and acquired further land to expand and develop into profitable agricultural crops.
Voigts Farming include farm acquisitions in Mooi River, Ottos Bluff, Cramond, New Hanover and Umvoti regions. These farms are developed to Timber and Sugar crops. Land or area which is not tenable is used as grazing for beef, namely Boran breed.
Ralph has successfully developed the Sugar and Timber crops to enjoy good yields and quality. He enjoys the challenge of taking over the management of a farm, implementing management systems, applying his knowledge and experience, nurturing the crops to realise its full potential.
